100k positions / device
We have upgraded our system to store 100k positions per device. This is enough for several months of historical data, even at very high update rates. Currently, this extra capacity is only visible when you export data ("Manage devices" -> "Export data"). There is still a limit of 1000 positions when plotting data on Google Maps and using the API. We will be adding many more ways to access and analyze the data later on. We are also aware of the privacy implications of this change. The amount of data that is kept per device will soon be configurable. We will also make it possible for you to delete tracking data.

You are doing an excelent job! I''m a student from Romania (Cluj-Napoca, Transilvania) and i have an iPhone for 3 days now. InstaMapper is BY FAR the best app i've found on the App Store for keeping track of my routes.
I will use InstaMapper to finish my Undergraduate Degree (my plan is to write a paper and document the Municipality's Efforts to create infrastructure for bikers - bike paths, etc.
Although, i still think i have a problem with it (with multitasking actually). If i won't sort it out, i'll ask :)
Keep on the good job and hope that i'll be able to DONATE soon!
