Great app! Easy to setup and have your first locations flowing into the google maps view on the site!
I do have two comments: - clever to have the app keep the iPhone screen alive to keep logging locations. But the phone is not locked at that time. I would be great if it were possible to press the lock button (on top of iPhone) and keep the app running (just like when you have a phone call and you can lock the phone as well without killing your call. It just adds the 'slide to unlock' function. - Second: would it be possible to track multiple routes? Like when you have logged out of the app or haven't logged a location for 30 mins, it starts a new route? Now it's kinda strange to have a route segment between the location where I last used the app (say 2 days ago) and my current location (which is entirely different).
Looks like a great APP, but..... I am living in the UAE and using InstaMapper with iPhone 3G. Does the InstaMapper work in the UAE. So far InstaMapper GPS Tracker is only displaying: "Locating...." But no results till now.... Looking forward to your answer. Kind regards from Dubai. JAN
I have a 16 year old daughter and she's driving. We gave her an iPhone for birthday (3G). My request is simple: I'd like tracking where she's driving. Better yet, without her knowing that her phone is actually a beacon.
I install the application on the iPhone, registered and logged into the website. I opened an account and entered the devise key. Everything seemed perfect. She left and I went to the website to watch her progress. Nothing. All it showed was a "red dot and some yellow dots around our house. My question is... does she need to have the app running in order for this to work 'cause that's not going to happen.
I like the instamapper program, works great. I would however like the ability to clear my routes without having to change the 13 digit device Key. I am a new I-phone user and was very suprised to learn apple doesn't allow non apple apps to run in the background, Thats to bad. Apple dropped the ball on this one. Looking forward to utilizing this app while I fly. Great program, to bad apple is holding you down with their limitations......
Dale's FunZone, did you bother to read the license agreement before accepting it? It says clearly you're not allowed to use this software to track someone without their permission.
I wondered if a feature could be added to push an update whenever you "slide to unlock" your phone, that way you didn't have to run the application every time u want to push an update of a location. please tell me if this is possible
Your soft is so amazing. i love it.. tell me an email to send at least 10 bucks for you..to drink a coke. nice to have people like you. dont imaginate how happy i'm to have this app installed in my iphone... Thanks again.

There is no way for us to continue running when the phone is locked. Our app is immediately suspended by the OS and GPS is turned off.
We will be adding support for selecting tracks soon.
